On completion of his MSc and while developing business opportunities, Robbie was invited to take up post as Designer in Residence 2019/20 at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. Here he was given the facilities he needed to continue growing his business in exchange for using his design expertise to provide university students with technical and academic advice on their projects and assist university staff with curriculum design and assessment. He took a LTHE (Learning to Teach Higher Education) module as part of his residency to gain practical knowledge in this area.

Working with university staff during his residency along with the V&A Dundee’s Design for Business programme has given Robbie experience in teaching design as a process for business’ to become more innovative. He has learned a great deal about delivering training to customers with a broad range of needs during this time and took what he had learned into account when developing his own design consultancy service.

Robbie is passionate about the many ways design is being used in business as a practical tool and way of thinking.
